Greetings Lyon County Parent:
Lyon County School District is committed to providing all students that attend our schools a first class experience to make them college and career ready to be successful in the 21st Century. We are constantly striving to be ensure all educators are engaged in the best practices that will increase learning and achievement for all students. Grading and feedback practices are as important as any. With that said, we are planning to engage in some professional development this school year to examine our current grading and feedback practices. All teacher and leader actions must be evidenced based--but also have a degree of practicality and understandability for parents and also students. This is why we are asking teachers, parents, and students to complete a brief survey to gather some baseline evidence and understanding around beliefs, feelings, and approaches to grading and feedback. All responses are confidential and will be used to help guide our work to continue to make sure Lyon County School District is providing the best learning experience and opportunity for all students.
