The Retail Strategy for County Louth shall inform future Development Plans and Local Area Plans through appropriate policies and objectives regarding the amount, location and type of retail floor space required in the County. It will also be used to determine planning applications, provide guidance on design issues and encourage sustainable travel for all. The proposed strategy will form the basis of future development plan policy and will assist in the assessment of planning applications.
