University City is embarking on a street light demonstration project on Delmar Boulevard. This project is to compare the original lighting with energy efficient LED and Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) lighting. In addition to saving energy and money, our goal is to enhance safety and the pedestrian and vehicular experience in the Delmar Loop. The project spans DELMAR from Kingsland to the crosswalk from the Tivoli to the Parking Garage, and comprises of the tall street lights on concrete poles (NOT the shorter green pedestrian lights).

Please Note: The original High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights in this demo are located at the Southeast and Northeast corners of Delmar at Kingsland, and east of Westgate.
