Welcome and Introduction

We are excited to conduct the first nationwide survey designed to document the lives of people in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. While much is known about the many costs of addiction, we know very little about what happens in a person's life in recovery. We are gathering this information to inform the public, policymakers, service planners and providers and the recovery community about the milestones that people achieve in recovery. The information will contribute to educating the public about recovery and to address discriminatory barriers facing people in or seeking recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs.

WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THE SURVEY?

Anyone who considers themselves in recovery from alcohol and other drugs problems is encouraged to complete the survey. If you know other people who may also be interested in sharing their experiences for this important project, please send them the survey link and encourage them to participate. Thanks so much!

ABOUT THE SURVEY.

The survey will be open until the 30th June 2015. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. All of your answers are completely confidential - we don't ask for your name or any other identifying information.

If you are interested in being involved in further research work in this area, you can voluntarily include your contact details on the last page of this survey and the team will be in touch with you, but this is not a requirement.
