Auckland Council are seeking feedback on their draft policy that will decide where psychoactive substances ("legal highs"), can be sold once they are licensed by Central Government, and determined that they are "safe".
The policy aims looks to ensure that vulnerable people in the community are not overly exposed to the products.

In the City Centre this means that licences to retail legal psychoactive substances will not be granted in areas of residential deprivation (see map on our website) and within 100m of an existing psychoactive substances retail licence.

Please let us know your views. Your feedback will help us form our submission to Council.
