The Town of Menasha is considering developing a sustainable overlay district and is looking for input as to what that ordinance should look like. An overlay district is usually superimposed over conventional zoning districts and is used to establish alternative land development requirements. In this instance the Town will be looking at sustainable practices that a developer, builder or town business owner can choose to implement. In return, the developer, builder or town business owner would be given an incentive to encourage it to implement a sustainable practice. A sustainable practice is one that is considered environmentally-friendly; it uses resources responsibly and protects the environment. The Town is looking for input from you as to what sustainable practices it should consider in the ordinance and what incentives would be the most desirable. Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey below.
