Increasing the impact of your institution’s published research articles

6% of survey complete.
Please tell us your views on how you would like to see tools developed to help you increase citations to and readership of articles published by your institution’s researchers and be entered into our free prize draw to win a Kindle Fire. If you share your email address at the end, we’ll send you a summary report when the survey has been completed and analysed.

Please note that the survey will close on Sunday 28th July 2013.

Why this matters

Researchers are increasingly being judged on the impact their work has after publication. The Impact Factor of the journal in which the work was published has traditionally been used as a proxy for the impact of the work itself, but a much wider range of measures are now becoming possible. These range from evidence of peer engagement – such as individual article downloads, citations, social shares and blog/media coverage – through to broader measures of societal outcomes and economic growth.

In this questionnaire we would like to gather your views on these changes, explore the extent to which you have a role in maximizing the readership and impact of research carried out at your institution, and assess how you would like to be supported in this role.
