Shoalhaven Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan
|
Shoalhaven City Council is leading a major planning exercise to 'shape the Shoalhaven' into a vibrant and active community over the next 15 years as part of its commitment to achieving a Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan.
This affects all of us! If you play sport, listen to music, read books, go to shows, swim, go to community meetings or workshops, are part of a community group, walk on local trails, garden or visit a park then you have a vested interest in ensuring you have your say.
The ‘Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan’ will set out actions and priorities for Council that will guide future works and funding.
We have a vast population spread across 4,660 square km – and a significant challenge is how we want our City to thrive with aquatic, leisure and indoor sports centres; community and service centres including youth, seniors, health and sheds; cultural, art and heritage centres; tracks, trails and boardwalks; libraries; tourism information centres; sports grounds and courts; showgrounds; community gardens; parks and open spaces; and skate and BMX parks.
A key challenge in developing the Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan is to balance the needs of the community with the available financial resources of Council, stakeholders and the community.
So get involved – and help shape our community!
Respondents to the survey will go into the draw to win one of the following great prizes:
