Recently, Yoga Alliance has been contacted by members of the Illinois yoga community who are concerned about the Illinois Board of Higher Education’s (IBHE) actions to regulate yoga teacher training programs as private “vocational” schools. Like most in the yoga community, Yoga Alliance believes that such regulations are harmful to Illinois’ vibrant yoga community.

Yoga Alliance is laying the groundwork to advocate on behalf of yoga teacher training programs in Illinois. As we organize our effort, we would appreciate you sharing your insights regarding current regulation of yoga teacher training in Illinois by completing the short survey below.
