The following survey is intended to enable us to obtain a snapshot of County Courts in England & Wales; to identify the extent of standardisation across the Court system; what your County Courts get right, and the areas in which their performance could be improved.

It is intended to use the results of this survey to encourage necessary changes to the administration of the County Court System, to assist the Civil Justice Council in making its recommendations and to circulate it to County Court user groups.

It is requested that you answer the questions from personal experience. The questions are intended to relate to the specific County Court identified in question 1. However, should you regularly use more than one County Court, we would be delighted if you would repeat the exercise for each Court identified. If you are referring to Central London County Court, please clarify whether this is the Chancery section or the general section.

You will see that we have included an “additional comments” box at the end should you wish to cover additional issues not dealt with in the relevant questions.

It is not necessary to limit your responses to property litigation cases, if you feel that other cases are relevant.

T
