The Kachemak Bay phytoplankton community has had great success in developing relevant research and monitoring programs over the past decade. As a mechanism for continuous improvement and learning, the interest and impediments to the future direction of local phytoplankton work will be explored at the workshop. The intent of these discussions is to receive feedback, maximize strengths, and identify opportunities that may positively impact phytoplankton research and education.
