SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS SURVEY

As required by Louisiana Department of Education’s (LDOE) annual MOU with the Department of Transportation and Development, LDOE is required to support and assist the needs of Louisiana’s local communities by working with local school districts to secure buses in the event that an emergency is declared. The purpose of this survey is to determine your local capacity to support and assist LDOE in meeting these needs. For the 2014-15 school year, the projected daily reimbursement rate for providing a bus to support an evacuation is the FEMA equipment rate at the time of the event (currently $23-$27 per hour). Additionally, if you provide bus drivers to assist in evacuations you are eligible to be reimbursed at $31.25 per hour.
