Harts Pass to Rainy Pass, Washington

This survey asks about a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail in Okanogan County, Washington. It runs from Harts Pass south to Rainy Pass, where the PCT intersects with Washington Highway 20.

PCTRI already has some feedback on this segment. It's been reported that access to this segment would make for a superb approximately 35-mile-long loop, proceeding from Highway 20 up the dirt road to Harts Pass, south on the PCT to the West Fork Methow River Trail, and back on that trail to Highway 20. Alternatively, one could shuttle and ride from Harts Pass to Rainy Pass entirely on the PCT.

It has also been suggested that officializing access to the PCT on this section would help the economies of nearby Winthrop, Mazama, and Twisp, as well as that of Okanogan County generally.
