1. The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) New York February 2012
The Scottish Women's Convention (SWC) has representatives attending this important event. The overarching CSW theme for 2012 is "The Empowerment of Rural Women." The SWC wants to ensure our contributions reflect the views of rural women in Scotland. Therefore if you live in a rural, remote rural or a super sparse region in Scotland the SWC would appreciate your input into our short survey.
The purpose of the CSW is to look at progress on women's equality, identify challenges, set standards and policies to promote gender equality and the advancement of women worldwide. Non Government Organisations (NGOs) are allowed to participate in sessions of the CSW, attending discussion forums and events.
The closing date for responses is 12 noon Monday 23rd January 2012
