Not Married for Love

We appreciate your interest in our work on The New I Do, Reshaping Marriage for Cynics, Commitaphobes and Connubial DIYers.

Due to the large number of responses we received to our request to interview those who got married for reasons other than just love, we‘ve had to streamline our information gathering process, thus the questionnaire. We apologize for the impersonal nature of this questionnaire, but we are on a deadline (MS has to be submitted February 1, 2014)!

Once we receive your completed answers, we will determine if we need to follow up with you in which case one of us (Susan or Vicki) will contact you by phone or email.

For your ease, we have created a Survey Monkey questionnaire.

Please note that YOUR SPECIFIC PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL NOT BE PUBLICIZED. Things such as first and last names, addresses, and any other identifiable information you share with us will not be made public.

We consider any information that you send us about your story useable. We may use all or part of your story or we may change inconsequential details such as saying males instead of females or two children instead of three for the purposes of maintaining a sense of confidentiality.

Again, we thank you for your time and input. We’re extremely excited about this project and we appreciate your support! The book is due out in September of 2014 so stay tuned!

Sincerely,

Susan Pease Gadoua and Vicki Larson
