We're building the largest climate mobilisation the world has ever seen!

As world leaders head to New York for a crucial climate summit, we want to flood the streets and squares around the world to show our love for the planet. We've got two months to do this, so here's the plan:

1) 100% clean. Our event will target local governments everywhere asking them to commit to using 100% clean energy (e.g. solar and wind) by 2050. 100% clean *is* possible, and it's the only way to stop the climate crisis.
2) Global plus local petitions. Avaaz will run a gigantic petition drive. You can deliver signatures from your community locally and do your own petition drive too if you wish.
3) Local organisers set up events online, recruit people via email and Facebook and let the media know using Avaaz tools, organising guides and all sorts of support to help you.
4) Green hearts. Since climate change threatens everything we love, we’ll use a green heart to show that love for our planet and each other. This symbol will link our events across the world. Your event's green heart photo will be shown on a big screen in New York to world leaders at the UN climate summit.

That's the plan! If you have any feedback on this plan, ideas to improve it, or change it, add your suggestions below. Your responses will only be seen by the Avaaz team.
