Welcome to the Needs Assessment Guide, presented by the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center and funded by a grant from the Executive Office of Public Safety in Boston, Massachusetts.
The purpose of this Guide is to help Educators plan a thorough Needs Assessment of their schools and communities, addressing the issues of bullying and cyberbullying. The Guide is intended primarily for K-12 Educators but may be relevant for other institutions, including higher education.
This Guide will not, independently, conduct a Needs Assessment for you. Instead, it will help you plan and consider what actions you may need to take conduct your Needs Assessment, what sources of information you may want to gather, and what information you may already possess. It cannot analyze this data for you, but you will be able to document your use of this Guide at the end of it.
The Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center will be able to help you gather some of the data recommended, if you choose. There is no cost to use this Guide or any of the data-gathering methods we offer.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO FINISH THIS IN ONE SESSION - you will be able to discontinue and then resume the Assessment anytime you like. However, this should only take a few minutes to complete.
