SURVEY:

City of Goldsboro Housing Provider Fair Housing Survey

This survey is for the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (A.I.), a document required of the City of Goldsboro by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, familial status, and disability.

The North Carolina Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to discriminate in housing because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental handicaps, or family status (families with children).

The A.I. seeks to identify impediments to fair housing choice, defined by HUD as:

· Any actions, omissions, or decisions taken because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin that restrict housing choices or the availability of housing choices.

· Any actions, omissions or decisions that have the effect of restricting housing choices or the availability of housing choices on the basis of race color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin.

THIS SURVEY IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY, AND ALL SURVEY RESPONDENTS’ IDENTITIES WILL REMAIN ANONYMOUS.
