Part 1. Study on Good Programming Practices in Health and Life Sciences

Thank you for participating in the study on good programming practices in health and life sciences being run by the Steering Board for Good Programming Practices in Health and Life Sciences (GPP Board). This study has two components, the first is to register and provide information on the good programming practices followed by your organization and the second is to participate in the SAS code review sub-study. The SAS code review sub-study involves selecting SAS programs in your organization to review and evaluate with respect to their compliance with those good programming practices. Once you register, you will be assigned a participant id and it will be emailed to you along with a link for the SAS code review sub-study. We ask that you randomly select enough SAS programs to adequately represent the breadth of the programming at your organization from among tables, listings, graphs, macros, data-set creation, and programs which read external files into SAS which have been or will be used for publication, submission or distribution outside of the organization. We recommend that you select at least 5 programs. To insure that these programs reflect current practices, please select them from programs which have been worked on in the past 2 years.
