Did you know that the state of Connecticut has the 2nd highest tax in the nation?

To avoid the high price of gas in Connecticut many drivers routinely now go to New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island to buy lower price gas. This of course means our state is losing revenue to our neighboring states.

In an attempt to alleviate the burden of over taxation on Connecticut residents, I am proposing legislation that calls for a 50% reduction of the state tax on gasoline and diesel fuel, effective
July 1, 2013.

In an effort to win the support of my fellow legislators and the Governor, I am sending out this one question survey. I will share the results when I give my testimony at a public hearing.

I value your feedback on this issue, and I ask that you respond to this survey as quickly as possible.
