University College Cork is conducting a study in collaboration with Queen’s University, Belfast. The research project entitled ‘‘Food security for the food sensitive consumer on the island of Ireland’’ is funded by Safefood (the Food Safety Promotion Board). Safefood is an all-island implementation body set up under the British-Irish Agreement with a general remit to promote awareness and knowledge of food safety and nutrition issues on the island of Ireland.
Because you or your child may experience adverse reactions to some food, we need your opinions and thoughts as a consumer, to help us to make food products safer and labelling more helpful and informative. To help us in our research, we would like to invite you to participate in this survey. We assure you that all the responses will remain strictly confidential. All your responses to the questions will be anonymised with no link to your identity appearing in the analysis or report. Your participation is completely voluntary and you can withdraw at any point. Furthermore you do not have to answer a question if you so wish.
