Mt. Airy Schools Coalition Planning Project Overview

The Mt. Airy Schools Coalition is a new, collaborative effort of Mt. Airy USA, East Mt. Airy Neighbors, and West Mt. Airy Neighbors to promote and support neighborhood public schools through community partnerships. We share a vision of a thriving community enriched by its schools, and thriving schools enriched by their community. We seek to work in partnership with school leaders, teachers, and families from six neighborhood elementary schools: A.B. Day, Emlen, Henry, Houston, Jenks, and Lingelbach. Launched in 2012, the Mt. Airy Schools Coalition is looking to develop a strategic vision to guide their work over the next three years.

The purpose of this survey is to learn more about the attitudes and experiences of school staff, parents, and neighbors to inform this strategic vision. Participating in this survey entails answering a series of questions about your experience at one of the following schools: A.B. Day, Emlen, Henry, Houston, Jenks, or Lingelbach. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

If you choose to participate, the information you provide will be kept strictly confidential and all responses will be anonymized. No school staff member or district personnel will have access to your individual responses and results will only be shared in the aggregate. Your participation in the project is voluntary.

If you have questions about your participation in the project, please contact Abby Thaker at athaker@mtairyusa.org.

Thank you very much for your participation.
