Eco-Pledge 2011/2012

If you care about the environment, you should consider taking the Eco-Pledge.

By making a commitment to the Eco-Pledge, starting today through Wednesday November 30, 2011, you are committing to embrace at least FIVE sustainable practices to follow throughout the rest of the Academic Year. It should take you a less than five minutes to complete the Eco-Pledge.

We've included a list of some individual habits, practices or actions that may pertain to your living, study, or work area. These are specific and attainable habits that can reduce your individual carbon footprint as well as the university's.

The results of this pledge will be used to measure and demonstrate the level of commitment among the people who study and/or work here.

Your response, will help guide the work of the Sustainability Taskforce for the coming year, and the overall results will be used as a reflection on the entire community's level of commitment.

Lesley University's sustainability effort is a partnership. In order to be successful, it must involve the commitment of every member of the community, including students, faculty and staff. Last year we fell short of our 75% participation rate, help us reach our goal in 2011/ 2012!

If you prefer, you can also pick up a hard copy of the pledge on Wednesday October 26, 2011, at the Information Table for Campus Sustainability Day (Student Center, 1st floor).

Thank you for your time and participation.
