Agencies working in conflict and post conflict settings are increasingly undertaking research on sexual violence, either on their own or with the support of academic institutions and researchers. In order to advance the field in a more systematic way, and ensure that research efforts make the best use of limited resources, it is important to identify strategic priorities for research on conflict-related sexual violence. As part of the knowledge building work of UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Action), the WHO, in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) is supporting the development of a research agenda on sexual violence in conflict and post-conflict settings which will reflect agreement on key research priorities that require concerted effort over the next five years.
We have envisioned a participatory process to ensure that the research agenda reflects the needs of those working in this field. In collaboration with an advisory group we have identified some key research themes and are seeking your feedback through an on-line survey. This survey consists of 15 very brief questions to communicate your ideas and perspectives on priorities for research on conflict-related sexual violence.
