The Housing and Development Task Force was created in response to a publicized city meeting in which developers claimed that they never knew what the neighborhoods wanted. They said this uncertainty caused them to have to revise their plans over and over to gain approval. Several of us thought that it would be a good idea to gather ideas for developments that would fit criteria set by a group of neighborhood people.

We,the members of the Housing and Development Task Force, met with people from other neighborhoods in the general Lakes/Uptown area, and received great input and strategies. One idea was to describe neighborhood character (for example, what does the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood look like and consist of). A description of the neighborhood's character could be related to buildings, green space, ambiance etc. We also asked people from the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood to submit pictures of buildings that they felt "fit into" the fabric of the neighborhood. We still are soliciting information from neighbors who would like to offer their opinions. Please let us know.

Survey questions will ask for your thoughts and ideas on the character of the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood in general, and more specifically about the proposed corridor changes to Lyndale Avenue. The information you provide can apply to the proposed corridors in general or as a jumping off point for future ideas, further discussion and questions.

Please take the survey and let us know your thoughts and opinions.

Thank you for participating!
