The competition to win loyalty from the customer is fierce. Retailers must focus on ecommerce technology, particularly on personalization and multichannel techniques. Retailers need to give consumers a reason to chose them over their competition. They must begin to offer shopping experiences that are relevant to who the shopper is guided by what they want. These personalized interactions are meant to evolve the traditional relationship between buyer and seller to a more interactive experience. They become building blocks for repeat business and customer loyalty.
