Dartmouth College Flight Attendant Vitamin D Correlates Study
A research project is being conducted by Mardi Crane-Godreau, Ph.D. from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. It is a study that will involve former flight attendants, looking for correlations between Vitamin D levels, the development of respiratory disease and changes in mood.
Mardi Crane-Godreau is a former Pan Am flight attendant who studies the effects of cigarette smoke exposure on the development of respiratory disease. She is seeking volunteers for a study of health in former flight attendants who flew for more than five years prior to the ban on smoking in aircraft.
The study seeks both healthy former flight attendants as well as former flight attendants who have developed chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
Involvement in the study is voluntary. The information collected will be maintained and analyzed anonymously. Participants will have an option to receive results from analysis of the samples collected.
