1. ASHT Annual Meeting Submission Site Introduction
Welcome to the submission site for the 2015 ASHT Annual Meeting!
This site has been created to accept submissions for pre-conference institutes and instructional courses to be presented in Denver between Thursday, October 8, and Saturday, October 11, 2015.
Submissions will be accepted from November 19, 2014 through January 9, 2015. In keeping with the theme for the 2015 meeting, Innovation is the Path to Relevance, the Annual Meeting committee asks that you try to address some of the following themes within your presentation:
• Decreasing the Cost of Delivering Care
• Empowering the Patient
• Improving Outcomes
• Cash-Based Therapy Initiatives
• Wellness & Prevention
• Using Social Media to Brand Hand Therapy
The future of healthcare is uncertain and hand therapy practice needs to adapt to the changes. Although challenges within the delivery of care are expected, the potential for new opportunities to add value to patient care is exciting. Value includes: maximizing patient outcomes, lowering costs, reducing disease burden and facilitating hand health. Practitioners of hand therapy will need to be innovative and strategic to instill the value of hand therapy in the overall healthcare environment. The 2015 Annual Meeting is the ideal forum to share unique ideas and opportunities with your colleagues.
The Annual Meeting Committee will review all submissions and inform you of our decision no later than the beginning of March 2015. Please note that those who submit content and are chosen to present at the annual meeting are responsible for their own registration and all meeting-related expenses.
