As part of the Next Level Informatics work stream for the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN), we want to identify and solve real life NHS problems using data, rather than looking at purely theoretical concepts; these can either be operational or clinical.

The EMAHSN aims to be a leading innovation body for the local population with world class academic institutions, industry, health and social care working together to quantifiably improve the quality of patient care and experience in the East Midlands. See http://www.emahsn.ac.uk/ for more information on the network.

In the Next Level Informatics workstream, we want to look at further issues we could investigate and try to solve using data. These could be as big or small as you want, for example, from capacity planning in a clinic, to a Trust wide computer aided coding system. We want as many ideas as possible, no matter how trivial or creative they seem.

All of the solutions we discover will be disseminated freely, with the proviso that any improvements are shared back with us so we can continually advance. In addition, resource permitting, we can also help you implement the solutions.

We would like to ask you to complete the attached survey for your input and ideas. All responses are confidential.
