EcoDistricts' 14 Volunteer Application Questions

Question Title

* 1. Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for the EcoDistricts Summit 2014. As a volunteer you will receive $125 Early Bird Admission rate and a $150 regular Full Conference rate and conference lunch in exchange for a volunteer shift. Please be prepared to volunteer for two 4-hour shifts on September 24-26.

As a volunteer you’ll be interacting with Summit staff, attendees, sponsors and speakers. Roles vary and may include assisting at registration, helping with set-up and take-down, monitoring session rooms and answering questions from attendees.

We typically need help in the following areas:

- Registration Assistant | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference. Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees, general registration, badge printing, speaker check in, setup/breakdown, etc.

- Directing Attendees & Waste Management | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference. Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees to different programs, restrooms, exhibitor stations, etc… As well as monitoring attendee waste products.

- Room Monitor: | Monitor the session door and answer basic questions about the event. Display time warning cards for speakers, take room counts, run the mic for the Q&A session as well as maintain the drinking water station and assist the stage manager as needed.
