The mission of the Emory College Alumni Board (ECAB) is to serve as a representative alumni body that works collaboratively with the Dean’s Office and Emory College Development and Alumni Relations. The ECAB provides leadership for developing programs that engage alumni and promote participation, support Emory’s annual fundraising efforts, including scholarships and targeted projects, and advance the school and its academic mission.
Qualities considered important for effective board members include:
• Strong proven leadership both to Emory and the broader community; commitment to active participation in activities sponsored by both the College and the wider University.
• Commitment to attend all Board meetings and fully participate in committee work .
• Commitment to serve as a conduit for wider alumni, student, parent, faculty, and community involvement in the University. Board Members should set positive examples for fellow alumni .
• Willingness to contribute as a leadership annual donor to Emory College with a minimum annual gift of $1000 or $500 for graduates within the last decade.
