The Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania (DRN) is the federally-mandated, state-designated protection and advocacy organization charged with protecting and advancing the rights of individuals with disabilities in the Commonwealth. One of our priorities is to ensure that children have access to the behavioral and other disability-related services they need to succeed in their homes, schools, and communities.

We are aware of recent policy and practice changes being implemented by the Department of Public Welfare and Behavioral Health Managed Care Organizations that have resulted in the reduction or denial of children’s access to behavioral health rehabilitation services, particularly TSS or Therapeutic Staff Support. We are trying to gather more information about this issue so that we can effectively advocate for needed services. Please complete the following survey so we can learn more. If you need assistance completing the survey, please call Chanel Smith at 1-800-538-8070 extension 284.

You can learn more about the Disability Rights Network at www.drnpa.org.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
