Use: As a nonorganically produced agricultural products allowed as an ingredient in or on processed products labeled as “organic" only when the product is not commercially available in organic form.
Common applications: Sweet potato starch in the form of “bean thread” was petitioned for the formulation of organic processed foods such as soups and pot stickers, giving them the texture of authentic Asian cooking.
