The Contra Costa Health Officer issued an order in 2012 requiring licensed health care facilities to implement a program requiring their health care workers to receive an influenza vaccine or wear a mask while providing patient care or working in patient care areas. In an effort to better understand your experiences and needs regarding this order, the Communicable Disease Program is conducting a survey of all Skilled Nursing Facilities in the county. We hope to measure implementation and effectiveness of the order on patient health as well as determine ways in which we can assist and facilitate your efforts.
