Questionnaire for the Call to Evidence

The University of Cambridge’s current Environmental Policy dates from 2008 (www.environment.admin.cam.ac.uk/policy-overview). A Review Committee is embarking on a review of the University’s Environmental Policy. This Committee is chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Affairs, who has responsibility for environmental sustainability. The outcome will be an environmental sustainability policy covering teaching, research and administrative functions of the University, set in the context of sustainability in the wider sense and reflecting that the University has policies in other areas of sustainability. It will recognise that the University’s greatest contribution is through the impact of its research and teaching, but this questionnaire does not focus on this area.

In the consultation phase, the Committee is seeking the views of the University on key objectives, targets and matters relating to implementation. The following questionnaire is open to all members of the University and the closing date is 19 March 2014. It is anticipated that it will take around 10-15 minutes to complete. A summary of the results of this questionnaire will be published.

Alternatively, written evidence, including name, contact details and whether this is an individual or institutional response, can be submitted by 19 March 2014 to environment@admin.cam.ac.uk or Environment and Energy, 74 Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1RW.

In addition, focus groups will be held as part of the review process. If you are interested in taking part in one of these, please email environment@admin.cam.ac.uk.
