Skills for Logistics

Skills for Logistics (SfL) is working to develop a new Apprenticeship Framework in Procurement. The demand for this has been demonstrated by a number of organisations in the public and private sector. We now have draft proposed qualification structures and a set of draft units of assessments which we would like to consult wider on. These documents are available on our website.

The proposal is to use the procurement qualifications at Level 2 and 3 that are forthcoming from CIPS (click the link to see the content: http://www.cips.org/Qualifications/About-CIPS-Qualifications/cipsqualifications/) as the knowledge qualifications and that we develop appropriate competence qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 which demonstrates the practical application of that knowledge. We would like to seek your views on this proposal.

At Levels 4,5, and 6, we propose to develop qualifications which combine knowledge and competence. The proposed structures for the new procurement qualifications and the proposed new units of assessment at Levels 4, 5 and 6 are available for download and review.

Skills for Logistics are now inviting all interested parties to view the proposed qualification structures and units and participate in this online survey. The purpose of this survey is gain your feedback on the proposed qualification structures to ensure that the final qualifications will be fit for purpose and meets the needs of the sector.
