Below are a variety of volunteer opportunities. Even though they range in the degree of personal interaction and time commitment, they all provide invaluable resources to students seeking to find the right career path.

Events & Activities--Provide one-to-three hours of your time on a single day for a specific event or activity that is geared to reaching a maximum number of students. Examples include, participating in a Career and Majors Fair or giving an in-class presentation.

Job Shadowing Opportunities--Host a student(s) at your place of business on a given day for two-to-six hours so they could observe a typical day in your career.

Internship Opportunities--Identify and/or create a job within your place of business that would give a student(s) the opportunity to develop professional skills. We prefer internships to be at least four months in length and provide at least 10 hours a week of work.

Mentoring Program--Provide at least one hour a month for four months to meet with a student for the purpose of facilitating personal and professional growth, by sharing your knowledge and insights.

Job opportunities--Post openings on SCC’s online career connection site – a free service.
