Overview of survey - its goals and objectives

7% of survey complete.
In January 2013, CCIC initiated a stream of work to enhance our collective understanding of the challenges and opportunities for achieving positive development impacts by engaging with the private sector, in terms of influencing corporate behaviour, promoting inclusive private sector development and partnering with the private sector for development.

One aspect of this work is to survey the general membership on their current approaches to engaging the private sector, with targeted follow-up of some respondents to learn more about different members' approaches to "partnering with the private sector for development".

WHAT DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE WITH THIS SURVEY?
• to develop a comprehensive map of the different ways in which members are engaging with the private sector;

• to document member experience and lessons learned, both good and bad, and identify tools that they have developed as part of their respective approaches; and,

• identify key gaps in our current collective approaches to the private sector, opportunities for policy recommendations, and ways that CCIC can support members on this issue in the future.

WHY SHOULD I FILL THIS OUT?
1. share, and learn about, what is working and what isn't in engaging with the private sector and, in particular, non-profit/private sector partnerships;

2. improve your organization's adaptive capacity and operations in the wake of a shifting paradigm that emphasizes private sector engagement and economic growth.

WHO SHOULD FILL THIS OUT?
The Director of Programs, or someone who may have a good overview of the range of programs your organizations conducts with the private sector.

HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?
This survey will take approximately 20-45 minutes to complete.

WHEN DOES IT NEED TO BE DONE BY?
We have now extended the deadline to complete the survey to October 9.

WHO GETS THE RESULTS AND WHEN?
All survey responses will be kept completely confidential. Results will be reported only in the aggregate and will not be attributed to specific organizations. We may contact individuals for follow-up.

All participating organizations will receive a copy of the final report to thank them for their participation. We expect the report to be released in late-2013.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
