PILCHConnect is an independent not-for-profit (NFP) legal service which provides free and low cost legal assistance and training to welfare-based NFPs in Victoria. We are currently investigating the need for national pro bono legal services for small NFPs who are called to engage with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (that is, organisations responding to allegations about their institutional response to child sexual abuse that occurred within the organisation). We note that our scoping project is not concerned with the position of individual victims or offenders, who will be serviced by a separately funded legal advisory service.

As part of this scoping exercise we are asking child-related NFPs to complete this short survey (less than 3 minutes) to assist us in better understanding the number of NFPs that may be engaged by the Royal Commission and the legal needs of these organisations.

All answers are anonymous and will be kept confidential by PILCHConnect.
