Please complete the following information to sign up for the lottery to attend the Institute-Bloomberg Open Source Data Day to take place at Bloomberg, 731 Lexington Avenue, on Saturday, September 27th from 9-5pm.
Transportation to/from campus, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
Event is opened to a limited number of Columbia graduate students. Participants will work alongside 60+ Bloomberg employees and project mentors who will guide them through selecting bugs or features to work on, identifying and writing solutions, testing, and preparing their code for submission
To participate you'll need a laptop (Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X are all acceptable) and some skills in Python, math, or both. This event is benefiting the NumFocus Foundation and its collection of Python-based scientific computing tools:
*IPython/Jupyter
*NumPy
*SciPy
*Matplotlib
*SymPy
*pandas
