Dear ATODA members and stakeholders,

The ACT Treasurer, Mr Andrew Barr MLA, has invited stakeholders to share their views as part of the 2015 – 2016 budget consultation process. As per previous years, the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Association ACT (ATODA) will be making a written submission to the budget consultation.

The process for developing the ATODA submission has included regular discussions with the ACT ATOD sector, including through individual meetings, agenda inclusion for the Board and Workers Groups, and through our annual members survey. Where time has allowed, some draft proposals have been developed in advance with the sector and other key stakeholders. This survey seeks to collect further stakeholder input to inform the ATODA submission.

The survey will take 5 - 10 minutes to complete.

Submissions to the ACT Budget consultation close 13 October 2014. As such, this survey closes Monday 22 September to allow ATODA sufficient time to consider any ideas raised in the survey.

Given the challenging fiscal realities of the ACT economy and Canberra’s ambitious social policy agenda, the funding requests in ATODA’s submissions are often modest. The priorities identified seek to have long-term benefits for individuals, families and communities of Canberra.
