About the Award
AARNet wishes to recognise the innovative leadership and technical engineering expertise of the Australian Research & Education community for their use of AARNet’s high-speed network or services that have led to any single or combination of the following outcomes:
1. New forms of online research collaboration
2. New ways to support online learning and distance teaching methods
3. New forms of immersive teaching and learning environments on campus(es)
4. New ways of cost effectively delivering IT services
AARNet is delighted to have the support of QUESTnet for the 2nd Annual AARNet Excellence Awards. QUESTnet is the premier annual conference for the University IT technical community. The Awards will be presented at the QUESTnet 2014 Conference Gala Dinner on July 3, 2014.
We welcome submissions from the IT Services community that demonstrate the value of the services they deliver to educators, researchers, staff and students. The deadline for submissions is midnight AEST June 27, 2014.
All submissions will be reviewed by an evaluation committee comprising of AARNet and QUESTnet 2014 Conference host institution (Queensland University of Technology (QUT)) members plus a QUESTnet representative.
The Prizes for the awards will be announced shortly. Prizes are non-transferable and valid for use within 6 months of the announcement of the winners. No cash equivalent is allowed.
