Recent research indicates that one in five US residents (over 21%) speak a language other than English at home. Over 300 languages are spoken throughout the United States overall. And that's not counting the languages spoken by tourists and visitors coming to the US from all over the world. How do museums fit into this multilingual picture?

Museum researcher Sarah Franke, in cooperation with the New England Museum Association, is asking for your help to find out. Please fill out this short survey on your museum's current multilingual projects.

Whether your museum operates in one language or is fully multilingual, we want to hear from you. Your responses will provide valuable insight into today's multilingual museum landscape. Your answers will contribute to thought leadership for the field. We're asking for your response by April 17.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Franke at sarahafranke@gmail.com.
