Survey of Interest for a VHF and Above newsletter (and possibly a magazine)

Dear fellow Amateur Radio operators:

As the former Editor and a columnist for international Amateur Radio magazines in the VHF and Above niche of our hobby, I often regretted not being able to publicize time-valued material of interest to those who find this venue to be so fascinating.

Now, I am exploring the possibility of starting a newsletter (and possible magazine) that would publicize VHF and Above timely events, as well as provide the latest news on a variety of interests on these frequencies. These interests include: weak signal, meteor scatter, EME, satellite, balloonsats, propagation, digital, legal, commercial, and Maker (homebrew) projects.

I intend that the newsletter will be the first and possibly only place where you will find all the news, history, and more information pertaining to the wonderful VHF and Above niche of Amateur Radio to which many of us have been devoted.

I am also considering the possibility of creating a digital (and maybe print, depending on the cost) quarterly magazine. It would be similar to the 84-page magazine I previously edited, in that it would have features and regular columns.

This survey is to determine the interest of you who are involved in this very important part of the Amateur Radio service which covers different aspects of the VHF and Above Amateur Radio frequencies.

Therefore, please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey. Thank you very much for your input.

Sincerely,

Joe Lynch, N6CL
