Donner Summit to Jackson Meadows Reservoir

This survey asks about a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail north of Lake Tahoe. It runs from Donner Summit (I-80) north to Jackson Meadows Reservoir, where the PCT intersects with Henness Pass Road.

This is Survey #5. Survey #6, available on the PCTRI website, asks about the segment immediately north, from Henness Pass Road to Highway 49 near Sierra City.

PCTRI already has some feedback on this segment. It's well known that this approximately 26.5-mile-long segment is bicycled, although doing so is not in compliance with Forest Service policy. PCTRI does not encourage or endorse noncompliant bicycling on the PCT. Nevertheless, to the extent that knowledge of the route has been acquired by any particular mode of travel, it will be helpful to convey it here, in support of PCTRI's efforts to create a pilot program of multiuse.
