College Day is October 9, 2015 and our theme this year is "Reach Higher, Own Your Future!" The focus willbe on linking college to career (so a secondary theme is "Who Do You Want To Be?") There will also be a Community and Family Conference at San Jose State University on Saturday, October 24th.

This year, we really would like CBO's serving youth to participate in our College Day activities. By doing so, CBO's can reinforce the "reach higher" message and we create a community-wide college-going culture. Many of the lesson plans on our College Day website (www.collegeday.org) can also be conducted in afterschool and other youth settings. CBO staff can create a College Day Ed Journey poster and everyone can talk with the youth they work with about their own education journey. Your organization can also be a critical player when it comes to encouraging families to attend the Oct. 24th College Day conference at San Jose State University.

We should be able to provide you with College Day posters. We also hope to raise enough money to give you pencils or wristbands for your youth. (This is all dependent on how much we raise.) There will be an option for you to purchase these if we don't raise enough money to provide them to you at no cost.

Please complete this survey by June 19th.

Thank you very much for your interest in College Day. For more information, please go to www.CollegeDay.org.

P.S. You don't have to celebrate College Day on October 9th. In fact, we encourage you to reinforce the College Day message all year.
