In today’s world, change comes quickly. Managing its impacts can be challenging. Our local government plays an important role in change management.
Council is guided by the Official Plan for many critical decisions, particularly those related to how land may be used and the social, economic and environmental implications of this. The Official Plan was adopted nearly two decades ago and its policies have not kept pace with changes in the land use and economy since then. The time has come for a comprehensive review and update to ensure that it serves as a good decision-making tool in the years ahead.
The Official Plan has influence over a lot of things that are vital to our community’s well being. How these matters change with time will affect our quality of life in many ways. Please help guide the Official Plan Review by sharing your thoughts on the following areas of planning interest.
