1. Proposed Changes

The following questions relate to the Council's proposed changes to NZPI governance arrangements. Please ensure you have read the accompanying literature in the email before responding to the survey.

Question Title

* 1. The Council has endorsed in principle the move to a Policy Board Model - having read the attached documentation do you agree with that proposal?

* 2. The new Governance Model would mean that the Board consists of eight members elected from across New Zealand - is that a change you would support?

* 3. The eight members of Council would be representative of the following areas:

o 3 members from Auckland/Northland
o 2 members from Rest of North Island (exception Wellington)
o 1 member from Wellington
o 2 members from South Island

That split has been based on the distribution of NZPI membership. Please see attached membership map.

* 4. The members of the new Board would be elected to three year terms. Is that a proposal you would support?

* 5. The new governance arrangements would establish a Planning Advisory Committee made up of the following representatives;

* 11 Branch Chairs (including London Branch)
* Representatives of Special Interest Groups within NZPI
* A Representative of Young Planners

* 7. In accord with the constitution, voting (full) members of NZPI will be invited to vote on the proposed changes in the near future. If you are a full member of NZPI please indicate if you intend supporting the proposed changes as a package?
