Tell us you what would like added to Havelock Recreation Ground (bearing in mind we will have to raise funds for this) ?

Though many people like the Havelock Recreation Ground just as it is, in order to keep the "Brickfield" as a park it is necessary to show that it is valued and used by the community. This requires an improvement plan, which lists what we want put in the park - whilst not losing it's essential qualities of 'big skies and open space'.

We are building an action plan of realistic options, that we, the residents, can fund ourselves. We've not included a cafe or toilets - as the first will complete with local businesses while the second is about £60K and not affordable.

A longer-grass meadow-strip in front of the hedge

Plant more bulbs

An shallow/emphemeral pond in the boggy bit with logs around it

More trees (in the bits where they can grow)

A circumference path with a better surface, if we can find free/cheap materials

More Benches (Picnic)

Some 'bumps' for children to run over

2 raised beds from sleepers for the Homesdale Entrance (instead of broken railing)

Possibly a wooden zip wire at one end of the dip, by applying for a grant
