Government data is a valuable public resource. Government organisations around the world are rapidly adopting open data policies in response to growing community demand for more accessible information.
At next month’s MAV Technology Forum (December 4 & 5 in Healesville) we will initiate an open data project for all Victorian councils. We will hear from the councils currently publishing open data, along with representatives from Code for Australia. The group will take delegates through the process of publishing data and discuss the anticipated benefits for councils.
